A new 5-part video series lasting several hours. Sanskrit scholars trained in the traditional debate format take on Western Indologists and western theories on India’s knowledge systems : Sastra, Mimamsa and others. This path-breaking event was organised at the second Swadeshi Indology Conference. The non-human (divine) nature of the Veda, is the fundamental reason for its (Veda) primacy as the basis of all of the Indian Knowledge traditions. The realisation of the vedas by the Seers (rishis) and its non-human, timeless nature is something the western lens does not accept. There is a large repository of traditional arguments addressing this objection. The arguments for the Apaurusheyatva nature of the vedas are addressed in detail by Acharya Maheswaran.This argument forms the bedrock of all of Indian tradition.
